Large 19th Century French Hand-Colored Aquatints by Debucourt, a Pair
A Pair of large 19th Century French hand-colored aquatints by Philibert Louis Debucourt (1755-1832) after Carl Vernet (1758-1836).
One aquatint is depicting Prussian cuirassier, with plumed helmet, breastplate worn over white jacket, and grey trousers, on brown horse, turned to left. 1814-1824.
The second one is entitled / inscribed Officer de Dragons Danois
Depicts military officer on horseback, the 'Officier de Dragons Danois,' a Danish Dragon Officer.
Both aquatints are custom matted and framed under glass in a beautiful back and gold frame.
Period: 19th Century
Condition: Good- Wear is consistent with age and use.
