Celebrate America's 200th birthday with this Royal Worcester Independence 1776 plate, a limited-edition reproduction of the pattern the English manufactory produced when the eagle was first adopted as the National Emblem of the United States. Issued in 1976 to commemorate the Bicentennial, this example is numbered 6,719 of only 10,000. A majestic cobalt-blue eagle with fine gold detailing perches on a flowering branch, surrounded by red blossoms and mint-green leaves, finished with a gilded rim. The back carries the Royal Worcester crest and a printed history of the design. A wonderful piece for Americana collectors, history lovers, or Fourth of July displays.
