An exquisite pair of French Louis XVI style bergere armchairs probably made around late 19th century, early 20 century. The frame of the chairs is hand carved of quality walnut wood showing fine carving details of acanthus and flowers. the bergere chairs are raised by four fluted legs adding elegance and grace to its frame. The chairs feature a vivid red upholstery with beige / yellow floral motifs and the cushions are fluffy and comfortable. The chairs are sturdy, well made and timeless.
