Chinese Yuan or Early Ming Dynasty Style Warrior Motif Blue & White Porcelaine Vase This exceptional blue and white Chinese porcelain vase is beautifully crafted in the style of the historic Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368) and early Ming Dynasty. The central body features a classic 14th-century narrative drama motif, depicting a finely detailed robed figure riding a horse through a landscape shaded by weeping willow trees and traditional foliage. True to early Jingdezhen pottery traditions, the flared neck is decorated with bold vertical plantain leaf borders, while the shoulder is segmented into elegant registers of geometric lattice work and scrolling lotus panels. Boasting rich cobalt blue tones and a classic baluster silhouette, this striking Chinoiserie accent piece captures the pinnacle of early Chinese imperial export art.
