A timeless Mid-Century Modern Sofa in the manner of Finn Juhl ( Danish 1912- 1989) . The sofa features sculptural shape inspired by the Modern free art. The seat and back of the sofa are separated creating forms and resting on a wooden lightly tapered legs. The upholstery is made of cashmere in yellow and light gray. The Sofa was designed by Juhl in 1951 for Baker Furniture Company, Michigan and presented to the American design community by Edgar Kaufmann Jr, an art collector and director of the Industrial Design Department at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

About Finn Juhl:
Finn Juhl (30 January 1912 – 17 May 1989) was a Danish architect, interior and industrial designer, most known for his furniture design. He was one of the leading figures in the creation of Danish design in the 1940s and he was the designer who introduced Danish modern to America.
