Antique Iron & Wood Fire Engine Large Model or Sculpture
An antique fire engine model or sculpture, crafted from iron and wood, representing a fire engine from the 18th or 19th century.
The model is mounted on a four-wheeled wooden cart, typical of early fire engines. The wheels are spoked, with iron rims, indicative of the era when fire engines were horse-drawn or manually pushed.
The central feature is a hand-operated pump mechanism, with long handles on either side. These handles would have been used by firefighters to manually pump water, and the design is consistent with early fire-fighting equipment. A hose reel is mounted on top of the cart, holding coiled rope or hose, essential for delivering water to the site of a fire.
The model includes detailed ironwork, such as scrollwork and a small ladder mounted on the side, possibly for decorative purposes or to mimic the actual equipment used during the period. The combination of iron and wood makes the model or structure robust and sturdy. The antique fine engine model is a beautiful decorative piece reflecting the historical design.
