About the artist :
Manes Lichtenberg was born in New York City in 1920. His formal training began at the Art Students League in New York as well as the Acadamie de la grand Chaumiere in France.
Lichtenberg’s style is said to be a unique blend of realism and impressionism, which has gained him recognition throughout the United States and Europe. He has won many awards including the Gold Medal of Honor of the Allied Artist of America. In addition he has received the Silver Medal in the International Prix Maurice Utrillo in Paris, and the Bronze Medal of the Prix Othon Friesz.
Manes Lichtenberg illustrates life with peacefulness and reserved respectability. He has befittingly earned the approval as a modern day impressionist through his amazing drawing skills, color, composition and awareness of light. The artist truly depicts the beauty of life.
