About the artist:
Mary Botto (American 1913 - 2002) was a well-regarded American painter recognised for her cityscapes. She adopted an impasto technique using palette knife and brush. Her artwork stands out through its texture and vibrant hues. Known for her streetscapes, Mary exhibited widely, mainly in the United States. In the early 1960's she travelled to Europe and worked as an artist in France. Her work is highly sought after.
